Who it’s for
For principal contractors
You carry the duty to plan, manage and monitor the construction phase — and the duty to be able to show it. This was built by somebody carrying the same duty, on his own sites.

Inspections
OpenThe duty
Plan, manage, monitor — and be able to show it
The awkward part of the role is rarely the management. It is that eighteen months later somebody asks what was checked in a riser that is now behind two layers of board, and the answer lives in a phone that has been replaced.
Monitoring that leaves a record
Every walk-round observation tied to a place, a trade, a date and an outcome — and visibly open or closed.
Inspection evidence
Fifteen ITPs and sixteen trade check sheets, every acceptance criterion written out, every result recorded with the inspector and the date.
Results, not attendance
Every line recorded pass, fail or not applicable, with the inspector, the date and a photograph — not a signed cover sheet over unrecorded lines.
Non-conformances
Disposition, root cause and verified close-out — the record a concession needs to be defensible.
Evidence before cover-up
Fire stopping photographed before and after, with the certified system and the label.
A handover you can defend
Four calculated gates, both signatures, and what was outstanding written on the certificate.
On the job
The three screens the week actually runs on
The register you walk with
Pin it, photograph it, assign it, date it. Twenty minutes on the floor rather than an evening typing it up afterwards.

The evidence that survives the ceiling going in
One record per penetration, photographed before and after, with the certified system and the label — while the seal is still reachable.

A working week
What it looks like between Monday and Friday
Monday
Walk the floor that came out of first fix. Pin what is wrong, photograph it, assign it. Twenty minutes, not an evening of typing up.
Tuesday
Issue by trade. Each subcontractor gets one email, one PDF, their own items.
Wednesday
Inspections on the next work package, recorded where the work is and pinned on the drawing.
Thursday
Verify what came back marked fixed. Close what is genuinely closed; reject what is not, with a photograph.
Friday
Export the quality summary for the progress meeting. Nobody rebuilds anything by hand.
What you can produce on demand
Without a week of preparation
- Every inspection on a work package, with its acceptance criteria and results
- Every inspection still unsigned, and what is outstanding on it
- Every defect against a unit, with photographs and both close-out signatures
- Every fire stopping penetration, with the evidence attached to it
- Every non-conformance with its root cause and what verified the fix
- A handover certificate stating exactly what was outstanding when it was signed
FAQ
Questions principal contractors ask
Does it replace our construction phase plan?
No. It records the monitoring and the inspection evidence that the plan says you will carry out — the part that is usually done properly and recorded badly.
Can our client see it?
They see what you send them: branded PDFs, Excel registers and a quality summary. There is no client login to administer and no half-finished register on show.
We work with the same trades on every job. Does that help?
Yes — the subcontractor list, the check sheets and the unit types carry across, so the second project is set up in an afternoon.
Built on a live site, not in a workshop
Every register in it exists because a job needed it. Fourteen days free, no card, with a real worked example loaded.
